Silva Guide 426 is a compact and lightweight compass suitable for most outdoor activities. It has a full-size sighting mirror and a vee notch, allowing to take a more precise bearing. The degree numbers and alignment marks are easy to read. There are also inch and millimeter rulers on both sides of the compass body.

As for the materials used, the base plate is made of sturdy polypropylene that floats in water and can, thus, be effectively used for many near-water adventures. Because of it’s small size, the compass can be easily placed in a shirt pocket. A lanyard is also included with the compass.
